Project Description

Designed the official digital experience for the Škoda Single Wicket, a nationwide youth cricket tournament for U-12 Boys, U-16 Boys, and U-16 Girls.

The app managed everything from player registration and kit allocation to on-ground umpire scoring and live public leaderboards. Season 2 of the tournament spanned 59 Indian cities, engaging 32,000+ young cricketers and culminating in a national final in Mumbai with ~180 qualifiers.

Problem

Managing such a large-scale youth tournament across multiple cities created challenges in player registration, KYC validation, kit distribution, attendance tracking, umpire scoring, and transparent leaderboard updates. Existing manual processes were time-consuming, error-prone, and lacked real-time visibility for players and parents.

Solution

• Designed an integrated digital ecosystem with distinct flows for Players, Parents, and Umpires.
• Built multi-player profiles under one parent account with KYC document upload and status tracking (Approved/Pending/Rejected).
• Created attendance and kit allocation dashboards for tournament staff.
• Developed a Umpire Scoring Module to log runs, extras, dismissals, and player technique ratings (stance, grip, back-lift).
• Designed public leaderboards with filters by City, Round (Trials, Eliminators, Quarter, City Final), and Category (U-12B, U-16B, U-16G).
• Structured the side menu to include key tournament touchpoints: Rules, Schedule, Leaderboard, Updates, and About Škoda.

Impact

The app streamlined on-ground operations, reduced manual data errors, and provided parents with transparent, real-time visibility into their children’s performance. It also served as a branded digital platform, embedding Škoda’s identity and product promotions within the user experience. By connecting 32,000+ participants across 59 cities, the app elevated the scale, credibility, and engagement of the tournament.

My Responsibilities

  • Conducted requirement mapping with client and cricket operations team.
  • Designed end-to-end user flows for Players, Parents, and Umpires.
  • Created wireframes for registration, attendance, and kit allocation modules.
  • Designed high-fidelity UI for umpire scoring and leaderboard systems.
  • Built a reusable design system in Figma for consistency across 50+ screens.
  • Developed an interactive prototype showcasing micro-interactions and match-flow simulations.
